THE LAST OASIS is a full – length documentary –artistic guide to one of the rare spots of untouched nature located between the Danube and Drava rivers in Yugoslavia.

In this oasis live over three hundred kinds of birds, as well as a large number of game. Over three years of hidden camera work, since man is unwanted there, made it possible to all of us to witness the births, fights, loves and deaths of our oasis’ inhabitants.

This strange world of the wilderness, where the laws of nature are strikingly similar to human norms of behavior, renews itself and lives on in spite of continuous destruction.

The sights are so impressive that we wish to help the inhibitants of this oasis by not destroying their last stronghold.
